So yesterday we went visiting various places along the ‘Jurassic Coastline’ of Dorset. I must say, there are some really quite phenomenal places along there, including the Durdle Door (above) and Lulworth Cove (below). These places strike me as quite amazing simply because they are completely natural. Handmade but not by us. The Durdle Door for example is amazing to look at, this huge stone arch in the middle of the water, the centre arc eroded and now it looks like this. Goodness knows how long it took for this to happen. And Lulworth cove, once completely land, the sea has eaten away at it and made it what it is now. All along the walkway there are little coves forming and little arches in the stone walls beginning to be created and you can see these. In the whole of my lifetime they will probably look exactly the same, but here is the evidence to compare in many years to come.
These are the sort of images that we see on postcards and on TV, never thinking that we will see them all with our very own eyes. However, when we do see them we realise that the sights before us as too big to comprehend.

Can you tell me,where is the bridge in the top picture on your site?I lived in Dorset most of my life, and I don’t remember seeing it!Thanks!Other pics are excellent,Durdle Door,Lulworth Cove, did you know, just up the coast is a place called Scratchy Bottom?Made me laugh..
I bought a picture in TK Maxx last week, which is an exact copy of your picture of Durdle Door. I just wondered if you were aware of this. I loved it as we wanted quite a large picture for our lounge (its 119cm x 59cm incl frame) and it was a place my husband and I visited several times before we were married and we also took two of our children there about 6 years ago.

some very nice photography.
Having visited the durdle door today with a frined of mine it was ironic that he was to use his Lee Filters Set for the first time in over a year only to find the above durdle door picture on the box of his filters i would question weather or not that this picture belongs to Clare McCormack or is it just copied from somehwere else, however in this post she neither claims they are hers or says they are copyright of someone else.
if you want it use it
Yep, these two pictures are not mine. Often, I will try to use my own images for this blog, however, sometimes the pictures I have managed to take don’t do what I’m talking about justice. This was the case in this situation, though the last person to comment says rightly that I did not claim to own the pictures. Please use these if you wish to, or contact the orginal artist (unknown, as it is for sale on postershop, easyart etc) I have also uploaded a picture of my own to save further confusion!
